Pre-K Lead Teacher 
 

Olive Tree Day School is seeking a dedicated and passionate PreK to join our team for the Fall 2026 - 2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, a love for working with young children, and a desire to help them grow spiritually, academically, and emotionally. We are a Christian preschool where prayer and worship are woven into our daily routine, and our team is committed to reflecting God’s love in all we do.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves implementing engaging curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of children. We use two learning curriculums in our Prek class: Learning Dynamics for reading and Handwriting without Tears for writing.

Most of all we are looking for a teacher that loves Jesus and wants to be part of our team at OTDS.

This job starts at $18.00 an hour and hours are from 8 am - 1:30 pm Mon - Thurs. Please do not apply if the pay rate and schedule does not work for you. This position will start on August 29th, 2026.

Duties:

• Lead a small class of Prek students under 12 students.

• Have great leadership and team working skills.

• Create crafts that are engaging and incorporate hands on learning.

• Help keep a clean, organized and safe classroom environment.

• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

• Record keeping with assessments for students academic growth.

• Qualifications

• CPR Certification

• Mandated Reporter

• Immunization Record

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.

• 12 ECE units

• Drivers License

Spiritual Requirements

This is a ministry-centered position. The ideal candidate will:

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• Actively attend and serve in a local, Bible-believing church

• Demonstrate Christlike character in word and deed (Galatians 5:22–23)

• Approach their work with a servant’s heart and spiritual maturity

• View teaching and as a calling, not just a job.
