MS. KELLY

Director and Teacher

Kelly Wegley is committed to helping children love coming to school. She nurtures friendships with students and families. "The Lord has given me a huge heart for children, I have been working with kids since I was 14 years old." I enjoy teaching them, caring for them and preparing them for all life brings them. Watching our students grow and flourish in their talents brings my heart immense joy. Kelly has her Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia. She started OTDS in 2017 and has been incredibly blessed to watch it grow. Her husband and her have two boys, Rex (3 1/2) Leo (10 months) and 10 year old Labrador Retriever, Riley.

MS. NICOLE LANPHIER

Infant Teacher

Ms. Nicole studied Child Development in San Luis Obispo. She loves to witness and facilitate children's natural curiosity and exploration of the world. She has worked in Montessori education as well as Waldorf which has given her a well - rounded experience. I enjoy traveling, mountain biking, hiking, tennis and dancing, and all things nature. I am thrilled to be a part of OTDS and to nurture Gods greatest gift, His children. My classroom is filled with love, interactive play, exploration and self - inspired learning.

MRS. KAREN WOOTTEN MORRISON

Music Teacher

Karen Wootten Morrison has a B.A. in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. She has been performing solos and in choirs since the age of four. Born and raised in Upland, CA, and now residing in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, she has a strong connection with our musical community. In earlier years, Karen taught voice and piano lessons, and after many years of working in a different field and doing music on the side, is coming back to her musical roots to teach the children at Olive Tree Day School, as well as teaching Music Together®. Karen currently has 2 songs posted on iTunes; one of her singing and one of her very own compositions (under artist name Karen Wootten). Karen has a passion for interacting with children and sharing her love of music. She is a strong believer in the power of music and hopes to advocate for continued music/arts in the schools.

MRS. LIZETTE LOUGH

Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Lizette comes to our school as a seasoned OTDS parent. She brings tons of creativity, fun, love and patience to her class. She is married to her husband Sean and they have two children, Landon and Hannah. Prior to joining OTDS Lizette was librarian at Glendora, she created wall displays and story time for children. We are so excited to see all the fun that is going to take place in Mrs. Lizette's class!

MRS. LATONA

Assistant Director

Mrs. Latona comes to Olive Tree Day School with over 34 years of teaching experience. Her passion for working with children started as a Room Mom for her daughter Eileen's school. She has worked in Christian preschools in Upland and Rancho Cucamonga, since 1988 and was recently retired when she and Ms. Kelly recently reunited. Their families are longtime friends.

"When I made the decision to work professionally with preschoolers, I enrolled at Chaffey Community College and graduated with an Associate degree in Early Childhood Development. My heart's desire was to provide a fun and nurturing learning experience for preschoolers and that every child would know that they are uniquely created and unconditionally loved by an amazing and loving God and His Son, Jesus. I am excited to be a part of Olive Tree Day School and am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the children and their families." I live in Montclair with my husband Anthony and our four very entertaining cats.
