Ms. Kelly

Owner, Director

Founded OTDS in 2017

Kelly Wegley is passionate about creating a school environment where children genuinely love to learn and grow. She nurtures meaningful connections with students and their families, offering both warmth and support.

"The Lord has given me a huge heart for children," Kelly shares. "I’ve been working with kids since I was 14 years old. I truly enjoy teaching them, caring for them, and preparing them for all that life brings. Watching our students grow and flourish in their unique talents brings my heart immense joy."

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia. In 2017, she founded Olive Tree Day School out of her master bedroom—driven by a simple desire to create a great school for her own son. What began as a small home-based program has grown far beyond what she could have imagined.

"Olive Tree Day School is God’s school," Kelly says. "I’ve been blessed to operate it on His behalf for eight years. Our school is a special place, and its mission is so much greater than I ever envisioned. I’m just a mom who wanted something meaningful for her child—and God had even bigger plans. He’s still moving!"

Kelly and her husband are proud parents to two boys: Rex (6) and Leo (3).

Lead Teacher - Pre-k

Started with OTDS in 2020

Hello! My name is Myra Jimenez, and I’m so grateful to be part of the Olive Tree Day School family! I love spending time with my own family and finding fun, creative ways to stay active and inspired.

I’ve been with Olive Tree Day School for the past five years—first as an assistant teacher and now as a lead teacher. Each year brings new joy, growth, and learning—not just for the children, but for me as well.

I currently teach Pre-K and work with children ages 4 to 5. I absolutely love this age group because I get to be a part of such a meaningful stage in their development. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them begin their journey into early reading and writing, and to witness their progress over the course of the school year. I especially enjoy watching them build friendships and grow in confidence as they begin to discover who they are.

My teaching style is nurturing, play-based, and hands-on. I believe children learn best through exploration, creativity, and in a safe environment where they feel loved and empowered to try new things. I love using songs, stories, movement, and sensory play to keep my students engaged, while also encouraging choice and individuality so every child feels heard and respected.

Students often describe my classroom as “silly”—and I take that as a compliment! I work hard to create a fun, loving, and safe space where children can be themselves. We laugh a lot, learn through play, and build strong friendships along the way.

I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and am certified in CPR and First Aid.

What makes Olive Tree Day School so special is the deep sense of community and heart that surrounds everything we do. We support not just academic growth, but the emotional, spiritual, and social development of every child. It truly feels like a second home.

Ms. Marianne

Lead Teacher - Pre-k

Started with OTDS in Fall 2024

Hello! My name is Marianne Galang. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. I enjoy fitness and weight training, watching binge-worthy shows, and spending time with my family and friends.

This past year was my first year teaching, and I am incredibly excited and blessed to be continuing into my second year at Olive Tree Day School. I currently teach our Preschool 3’s class and will be growing with my students as their Pre-K teacher in the fall.

Teaching three-year-olds is a joyful and rewarding experience. At this age, children are full of curiosity and wonder. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing important milestones—from learning to share and speak in full sentences, to using scissors for the very first time. Their wild imaginations and contagious joy in simple activities like singing or painting make every day special. It’s a gift to be someone they trust and to see their growth unfold so quickly.

I believe that every child is unique and deserves a learning environment that nurtures their individual development. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and engaging space where children feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and express themselves. I incorporate songs, stories, and creative activities to make learning fun and meaningful. I also value structure through routines, while remaining flexible to meet each child’s needs and interests.

Most importantly, I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with my students so they feel confident, secure, and excited to learn.

What makes Olive Tree Day School so special is that we’re not just helping children develop important academic and life skills—we’re also sharing God’s love with them. I treasure the opportunity to get to know each child and family here, and I look forward to continuing my journey with this amazing school community.

Floater - Monday & Wednesday

Started with OTDS in 2019 and came back in 2024 after starting her family.

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I’ve had the joy of serving as the lead teacher in our two-year-old class. This fall, I’ll be stepping into a new role as a floater on Mondays and Wednesdays, supporting all classrooms across the school. I’m excited for this opportunity to connect with more students and teachers throughout Olive Tree Day School!

My husband, Jerry, and I have been married for nearly three years, and you may have seen our daughter Juliette (age 4) around campus—she keeps us smiling and busy!

I’ve just completed my second year of teaching, and it has been such a rewarding journey so far. Each year brings new opportunities to grow, learn, and build meaningful connections with students and their families. This coming year, I’ll be teaching in our three-year-old class. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching both two- and four-year-olds in the past, and I’ve found that the preschool years—especially age three—are such a sweet spot for learning. Children at this stage are bursting with curiosity and beginning to explore the world more independently. It’s a privilege to help guide them through their early discoveries.

My teaching style blends careful observation with intentional, hands-on engagement. I strive to understand each child’s unique needs and interests so I can support their growth through purposeful activities and loving guidance. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and continually looking for new ways to enrich my teaching practice.

In the classroom, I use music, movement, and interactive storytelling to keep students engaged and inspired. Sensory activities and dramatic play are also key components of my approach, as they help build foundational skills and a love of learning that can last a lifetime.

My goal is to create a calm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, loved, and important. I want each student to feel free to explore, ask questions, and grow into the wonderful person God created them to be.

What makes Olive Tree Day School truly special is the heart behind everything we do. Each teacher here is deeply committed to the success of your little learner, and we work together to create a faith-filled, supportive community where every child is seen, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. I look forward to partnering with you to help them grow and flourish!

Ms. Stephanie

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I’m a wife, a mom of four, and a passionate early childhood educator. I love spending time with my family, reading, and crafting in my free time.

I’ve worked in early childhood education for nearly 20 years, and during that time, I’ve had the joy of teaching children of all ages—from infants to Pre-K. Each stage brings its own unique joys and milestones, and it’s truly a blessing to watch the children in my care grow, learn, and develop in their own special ways.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Behavior with an emphasis in Child Development. I love to incorporate a variety of learning modalities into my teaching—because I believe learning should be engaging, hands-on, and fun! My goal is to meet each child where they are and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Students often describe my classroom as a family—and that’s exactly what I strive for. I want every child to feel safe, valued, and loved in our learning space. That’s what makes Olive Tree Day School so special: each child becomes part of a close-knit, faith-filled community where they grow not only academically, but also spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Here, they learn about the love of Jesus, build friendships, explore their world, and become the wonderfully made individuals God created them to be.
