OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The educational programs at Olive Tree Day School were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.

Toddler - Early as 18 months

Our toddler classroom is in the process of being licensed. We are currently accepting students to be added to a waitlist for our toddler program.

Toddlers and 2's & Preschool 3's

Students ages 2 to 4 can be enrolled in these classes. Our teachers are trained and equipped to love and instruct your children in all aspects of our program. Some class time is spent together, whereas students will be separated based on their individual learning and curriculum needs. Preschool program follows a weekly curriculum and covers letters, shapes, numbers and colors. We incorporate table activities, centers, sensory bins and weekly projects.

Pre- Kindergarten - 4's

Our Pre-k class is a balanced class of socialization, academics, crafts with a focus on kinder prep. Our goals in our Pre-K class are to help set the foundation of reading and writing. Recognizing shapes and understand math concepts and being able to count to 100. We believe that kindergarten is a really big step, and we do our best to prepare our students to the best of our ability. Most of our students are able to write sentences, recognize more than 50 sight words, reading short stories. We use two different curricula to help our students, Learning Dynamics for reading and Handwriting Without Tears for writing.

Music Together® is a class taught by Ms. Karen. It follows a 10 week schedule, we are currently registering new families for our Fall Semester that start on October 17th. These classes are 45 minutes long and for children and infants 0-5 years of age.

Each week in Music Together Mixed – Age Classes at Olive Tree Day School, babies, toddler, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® gather for fun – filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child friendly instruments of course!) It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place.

Our garden has always brought enrichment and education to our students. Our students love learning about nourishing the garden and enjoy all that the garden gives back to them.
